The Unkindest cut – follow up

March 7, 2008 Life in Italy No Comments

Our dog went in for his operation yesterday, and he seems to be doing OK. He is a bit down in the dumps and not his usual lively self, but I imagine he will get over it.

Once he perks up, I’ll take and post the odd photo of the little chap, as per Gege’s request.

  1. Gege Bau says:

    Dear Atman,
Both humans and all seven dogs in our house send you a big hug and our best wishes for a quick recovery!
Don’t worry too much about not feeling up to snuff – it’s mostly just the anesthetic wearing off and the antibiotics kicking in. As for your balls, forget ‘em! They were more trouble than they were worth!
Looking forward to seeing your portrait, hopefully with lots of beautiful bokeh.

    Dear Gege

Sniff, sniff. Although I’m feeling a bit rough at the moment, I’m starting to perk up a little.

As for my balls, I only had one, and they’ve left the other, even if it has been disconnected. Shame, I was quite attached to it.

I understand that what has happened to me is for the best and that my owners are not utterly barking mad.

Thanks for the ‘Get well soon’ message from all the dogs and humans in your kennel.

And although I don’t know what ‘bokeh’ is (Can I eat it?), I’ll mention it to the owner of mine who likes snapping and I’ll see if I can persuade him to come with me to the park.

    Must woof,

    Atman

wow those comments were entertaining. :P

ok thanks for your help – i wrote a long reply after your comment :)

it’s friday night though – shouldn’t you be out having fun?

haha on that note, i’m also at home on a friday night. exciting times.

  4. Jan says:

I’m just curious … are you teaching at a university? Or some private school … ?

I can’t seem to figure it out (after ….. uh .. 3+ years of reading this blog ..)

  5. Jan says:

ok I’m flooding this entry with unrelated comments:

question – what about Sardinia? Is the situation similar to what you said about Sicily?

It seems like I’ll most likely go there instead, because by now I’ve a friend who’ll be joining me and she wants to see Sar.

Any suggestions for what to do there, as well as where to go if we want to see nearby places near Sardinia?

Thanks much Alex! You’ve been a great help about travel stuff – I still remember the first time (?) I commented was about Cinque Terre … perhaps 3 years ago …

  6. AlexR says:

    Jan,

I will not reply to you until you activate the archives section on your blog!

    All the best,

    Alex

  7. Jan says:

hahahaha I hate you! hehe ok … fine. I’ll activate it … for *a* while …

I swear there’s NOTHING interesting to look at ….

Berlusconi Divorces Fini

30 Jul 2010

Kotipizza Berlusconi

From spat to full-blown split. Silvio Berlusconi’s marriage of political convenience to Gianfranco Fini has ended in tears. Scorned lover Berlusconi even rejected Fini’s last minute attempts to kiss and make up and remain part of Berlusconi’s party of love. End of love in. Period.
