A must have utility for Windows users

March 9, 2005 · Filed Under Technology and Gadgets · Comment

Some of you may have heard of the Windows registry - the heart of most Windows systems. It’s a sort of database which records settings and lots of other info about the operating system. The only trouble is that this database tends to fill up with lots of useless entries and this can lead to poor system problems and can lead to some unusual side effects, such as web sites which don’t load properly, which is something which happened to me. The brave of heart can tinker with the registry, but you do need to know what you are at, ’cause if you get it wrong, Windows can take umbridge and refuse to do its thing.

I recently came across a little utility called RegSupreme Pro, which I am testing at the moment and so far, very good. Check it out. I don’t think you will regret it. I’m very seriously thinking about investing in it. The producer of this wonderful piece of coding is a little known, for the moment, Finish company called Macecraft.

I reckon this utility should come as part of Windows and should be used as often as the good old disk defragger. In fact, I think I may drop Bill a mail.
