Announcement - RSS Feed Change
Due to some technical issues relating to Blog from Italy’s RSS feed system, I’m afraid I’m going to have to start supplying ‘chopped’ RSS feeds. Apparently some of the multimedia content, such as YouTube videos and one or two other things I do within some posts, are causing RSS feed errors.
Therefore, from tomorrow, Blog from Italy’s main RSS feed will serve excerpts from recent posts. To read the full post, should you wish to, just visit Blog from Italy directly via your web browser. Remember too that Blog from Italy also has a mobile device optimized version, which means it can be read via mobile phones, pocket PCs and, as I understand, Apple’s latest cult item, the iPhone.
Once again, sorry about this, I know it will cause problems for some, but I want to keep this site as error free and search engine friendly as possible.
Thanks for reading, as ever.

iPhone Availability in Italy for iPhone Hunters
In this little post, I’ll try to answer that question by showing you which on line Italian stores still have an iPhone or two up for grabs.
Are you in Italy and looking for one of those mythical iPhones? In that case you will probably want to know something about iPhone availability in Italy. I understand that more than a few people are trying to get their hands on what is fast becoming a cult item.
Either being able to speak Italian, or knowing someone who does, will be a great help if you fancy having a go at tracking down one of these, so far, illusive technological jewels. More about where to find Apple’s summer favourite follows… Read more
Italian iPhone Fever
The inimitable Apple iPhone was officially launched in Italy by TIM (Telecom Italian Mobile) and Vodafone yesterday.
The Milanese, at least, decided that this object was the apple of their eyes, and formed long queues outside mobile phone shops in a attempt to obtain what has become the latest technological must-have fashion accessory.
All this enthusiasm comes despite high priced mobile phone service plans, and the sluggish Italian economy. To be fair though, Milan’s own economy is far from sluggish, which means the well heeled Milanese can afford to splash out and make the iPhone ‘MyPhone’, so to speak.
Was I in the queues? No. I’m probably going to end up with a Blackberry, sooner or later, at least once I’ve paid off the dear old Italian tax man.
