Elio e le Storie Tese - Shpalman

This is a curious number by interesting Italian group Elio e Le Storie Tese. I’m sure its having a dig at someone, but I’m not sure who. Perhaps one of my Italian readers can let me know.

The video was shot in Milan, and perhaps you can guess which area. I know, but do you?

For some reason my link to the Elio and Le Storie Tese YouTube video stopped working. Odd, I have not yet received a ‘cease and desist’ notice from Elio’s legal team. Anyway, the link has been updated and Mio Cuggiono is back on line. An interesting track. Listen while the lawyers let you! And me!

Elio e le Storie Tese - Mio cuggino

While I’m at it, here is an odd little vid from Elio e Le Storie Tese called Mio cuggino - My cousin:

Elio and his bad are irreverent and something of a legend on the Italian music scene. Their lyrics are generally humorous and can be ‘colourful’, but the overall sound is not half bad in my, not always, humble opinion. I suppose one could say that Elio e Le Storie Tese are pretty offbeat for an Italian band, and this is why I like them.

This album Studentessi is excellent.
