New Work by Gianpietro Carlesso
Gianpietro Carlesso, the Italian sculptor for whom I have translated one or two pieces, went to London back in November last year and I’m very happy to report that one of his works was sold at auction, and, hopefully, the sale has managed to raise his profile on the international stage.

However, I am writing this post because the other day Gianpietro Carlesso kindly emailed me a series of photos of some of his recent work.
I shall be posting more photos over the next few days, but just to start things off here is one example of his recent work entitled Curvatura Zero:
I have to say that I love this. The form is intriguing and, I don’t know about you, but I just want to keep looking at it. It draws me in. And I love the marble, I think it is, he has used. The colour and veining of the stone enhance the power of this work just as much as the fascinating form.
The other works I’ll be posting shortly are equally interesting, but, between you and me, this is one of my favourites.
