Shutter Art

If you have ever been over here, you may have noticed how many shops have metal shutters which are lowered when the shop is closed. These here shutters, often grey, tend to give the town something of an abandoned look. I am not the only one to have noticed this. Some enterprising, possibly ex-graffiti, artists have been brightening things up. I’ve been meaning to post a few photos and so here they are:

Barber

Lady’s wear

Bakers shop

Pet shop

Motorbike shop

Hope you like them. I think they are wonderful.

I try to be happy in Belgium but everytime I see something new and beautiful (or old and beautiful) from Italy, I’m left wondering how I ended up here.

The art is stunning … nice capture!
