Not such a happy new year
0 viewsSome friends of ours came back to Milan after the Christmas break to find that home sweet home wasn’t.
First of all their flat had been broken into and jewellery and other items had been removed, then, as if to add insult to injury, cracks, caused by work taking place on the floor above, were discovered and the firemen called advised that they should move into a hotel. Not over yet. In the same day water started coming into their flat from the areas above. They do say trouble has a habit of coming in threes.
Unsurprisingly our friends are now seriously considering moving out and away from Milan. Having a baby has not made matters any easier either. I pity them, I really do.
