La Cucina Italiana Soup Contest

September 30, 2008 Food and Wine Friday 4 Comments

Many thanks to those of you who entered Blog from Italy’s soup contest with La Cucina Italiana.

Now I’m going to pass the entries, anonymously, to chief Judge Judith Greenwood of Think on It.  With the help of her fellow judges, Alberta, of La Casa San Martino Agriturismo , and food expert Rowena of Rubber Slippers In Italy,  Judith will make up her mind, and then we’ll send off the recipes to those who are kindly helping out as taste testers.

If all the taste testing goes well, the winners will be announced on Friday the 10th October.

By the way, this weeks food and wine feature will take a look at Italian wine, and introduce you to a system which should help you track down that interesting but elusive red not too far from your very own doorstep.

Hi Alex. I won the soup recipe contest and was hoping to receive a subscription to your magazine (as the prize winner). I was told the 2-year subscription would being in January but I still haven’t seen it arrive. Is there somebody I can contact to obtain a copy of your magazine? Thanks so much. I’m still loving this website here in Maine, USA! Keep up the good work. Donna Noel.

For those who did not know, Francesco Cossiga, who died the other day, was an Italian politician and one time President of Italy. Berlusconi Divorces Fini

30 Jul 2010

Kotipizza Berlusconi

From spat to full-blown split. Silvio Berlusconi’s marriage of political convenience to Gianfranco Fini has ended in tears. Scorned lover Berlusconi even rejected Fini’s last minute attempts to kiss and make up and remain part of Berlusconi’s party of love. End of love in. Period.
