If I ever find myself with enough of the vulgar stuff

I’d buy Di Mackey a Canon EOS 1D Mark III, and I’d get Gege Bau a Leica M8. I’m pretty sure both of these people would put these excellent cameras to very good use.

Now, all I have to do is get round to accumulating enough of the vulgar stuff. But I would not advise either of the aforementioned to hold his and her breath.

Would I ask for anything in return?  You bet I would - I would want to see the results of their photographic exploits!

Yes, it’s a dreamy night for me over in the no longer snow covered city of Milan.

Why ALEX! Thank you!!! I’ll send you my address! ;o)

And if Antonella Clerici calls out my winning numbers tomorrow night, I will buy you all sorts of wireless flashes and godonlyknows what other techy gadgets you want! And I’ll be thrilled to see the magnificent images you’ll make with them…

… tho’ I think you’re making some great images right now with what you already have!

Your welcome Gege’ Bau! I sure you would do great things with an M8.

And thanks for your offer too! I look forward to your winning the lottery;-)

Thanks also for the positive feedback on my photographic exploits. I’m happy to see that you are now on Flickr, and I shall be watching your portfolio grow, with interest. Love the foggy shots, by the way. Morning mist and foggy just add so much atmosphere to the landscape.

PS You guys live in a pretty nice spot, from what I can see. Not particularly hustly and bustly like NY though!

Ok then, it’s a deal. If Antonella calls my numbers, la befana brings you your gear ;o)

Well thanks for the generous compliments! I have a problem here: I’m surrounded by beatiful views, yet beautiful views are what interest me least. What’s a guy to do! Oh well, it is a nice spot here in the Upper Tiber Valley. Sleepy as hell though… I could use some hustle and bustle! Want to swap?

Re dear Antonella, I’m holding my breath!

For the compliments - prego. As for the ‘problem’, try to make the beautiful views more interesting - animals, buildings, or people. Part of the challenge of photography, I think, is attempting to turn something uninspiring into something enchanting. I reckon you just need the right angle…in every sense.

As an Italian might be heard to utter - “Quasi, quasi…”

Have your say
