This is a curious number by interesting Italian group Elio e Le Storie Tese. I’m sure its having a dig at someone, but I’m not sure who. Perhaps one of my Italian readers can let me know.

The video was shot in Milan, and perhaps you can guess which area. I know, but do you?

    The video is a parody of “dedicato a te” by Le Vibrazioni, if I understood what you mean:

    (by the way, what does “having a dig at someone” really means? I like idiomatic senteces)

    I’m sure on the location, though: Naviglio Pavese, that yellow bridge is the one that links Via Borsi with Via Pavia.

    By the way, did you see their performance at this year’s Sanremo Festival? (yes, he said THAT word instead of “Figaro”)

    It’s a big tribute to the former member Feyez, that died in 1998. He was called “largo factotum”.

    Thanks for the info on the video - I knew of the connection with Le Vibrazioni.

    ‘to have a dig’ at someone means to criticise or comment on someone indirectly but not really aggressively.

    If this is the case with the Elio video, I’d like to understand who and why.

    Alas no, I did not see their performance at Sanremo - but I’ll have a look at the You Tube video - thanks for the link.

    I’m sorry, I don’t know if the song is about someone. Elio stated in an interview that it was just a parody of the cartoons themes.

    I assume that they’re all showbiz mates. Did you notice how there’s all the members of Le Vibrazioni in both other videos?

    Elio came to speak at a bookshop in Como recently. It was really funny.
