Comment Spam

I seem to get my fair share of comment spam - which is all picked up by Wordpress.com’s admirable askimet anti-spam system. Indeed, it picked up several ‘comments’ like this one: ‘m194k’. I’m not sure what these comments are. There is no link, but there are lots of these ‘codes’. It almost looks as though someone is having ago at overloading the Wordpress.com servers.

I suppose these codes could be some student competition aimed at rasing search engine rankings or sommething. Of it is an example of ‘proof of concept’ spam code, which will shortly be used to bring down endless blogs. Who knows.

Odd how people get their kicks.
