Clouds often do have silver linings.
12 viewsA big thanks to all of you who left messages of support regarding my mother in law. I’m pleased to be able to say that, although she is still in hospital, she is making progress, and is feeling a lot less poorly than she was a couple of weeks ago when she was rushed into hospital with breathing difficulties.
My other half is relieved, as you would imagine, but knows that her mum is not out of the woods just yet. Still, things are looking up, which is good news.
The downside is that our proposed holiday in Corsica has been cancelled because my other half wants to spend some time with her mum this summer.
Not going away will be a bit of a shame, and I was looking forward to touring the interesting French isle, but, I can understand why my other half feels that she will be too far away if things start looking bad.
Looks as though summer will be a little quiet this year, but, then again, there are plenty of places around Genova that I’ve never seen, but would very much like to. Lots of fodder for my camera too!
Clouds often do have silver linings.

I’m very happy to hear that your mother-in-law is feeling better now.
It is a pity that your holiday has been canceled. I’m disappointed too, because, last week, I called my uncle and asked him to send me an invitation for my visa, but he hasn’t sent it yet. I wish I were an EU resident!
So glad to hear it; hope you enjoy your vacation close to home this year
Hi Alex,
best wishes for everything! Hope at least now the sun has come back there like here in Rome, since it can make see things differently.
Ciao and auguri per tua famiglia

Thanks MoR :-),
La suocera is OK, but still up and down, poor thing.
Kind regards,
Alex
