Find A Dream Castle in Italy
As you may have noticed from the photos of houses on the right, I’m running a little ad campaign for a company known as Tuscany Real Estate.
Mike Buttery of this company, which is operated from both Italy and the UK, recently wrote, said he liked the blog, had linked to it, and asked for a link to his site. I was happy to give him the link, after having a look at the selection of houses Tuscany and Umbria in on offer on his Tuscany Real Estate site. Incidentally, a property offered by Mike’s company has been featured in the New York Times real estate section.
Well, I decided to go one better than a little link and set up a shop window for Mike. Although it is not immediately clear, there are a total of six houses for sale, but to see them all, you will need to either refresh the browser, open a few posts, or visit a page up in the top menu bar. The photo ad should then magically change! Exercise your finger and Click here to see what happens.
Boy, there is some lovely stuff there, and although some of the properties on offer are in the price range of those who breeze around by helicopter and private jet, for example: this castle, and this castle too (The stuff of dreams!).
There are also, for those who aren’t paid $20million to make a film, many other lovely places on offer at much more down to earth prices. And for those who are into restoration, there is a good choice of properties in this category too.
I also liked the detailed descriptions Tuscany Real Estate provides, which is something Italian estate agents/real estate brokers don’t really bother with.
If you are considering moving to Italy, and especially Tuscany or Umbria, then visiting the Tuscany Real Estate site would be a good idea, and there is information on how to buy a house in Italy and the various stages you will need to go through before you can enjoy your new purchase.
Should you wish to know a little about the potential pitfalls involved in buying apartments in Italy, then this post may help: So, you want to buy an apartment in Italy?
Even if you are not considering buying a place in Italy, a visit to Tuscany Real Estate may well start you thinking about it. I dare you not to click here!
Happy house hunting!

There is no secondary school, but the township is within the catchment area of one of Milan’s better high schools.
There are plenty of shops in the area, including supermarkets, and Buccinasco is only about five minutes drive away from the red metro line which can take you right into the centre of Milan in about 20 minutes. There are also frequent bus services to the city centre.
The area around the house has plenty of greenery and open spaces and is very quiet. Parking is no problem either with two spaces at the house itself and a dedicated parking area right outside the entrance to the private housing estate on which the house is situated.
Buccinasco is also located a short drive away from the Lorenteggio area, where companies such as Vodafone, Pfizer, and other large organisations have their Milanese branches.
