SOLENOID INDUSTRY JOB OPPORTUNITY - Spam/scam
I almost love some scam emails. If they weren’t such a pest, they would make me laugh. The title of this post refers to one such amusing, almost, piece of spam I recently received. I mean, ‘Solenoid Industry’?! It almost shows imagination.
I guess that by referring to a specific sector they think they may catch more people out (and they may well do, sadly), in what I believe is a money laundering type scheme. If you are only mildly switched on, when you get one of these here ‘invitations’, you will spot two key give-aways: 1) It is to undisclosed recipients 2) The return email address is a Yahoo account.
Oh, and if anyone is interested, I can get you a top job at Ferrari - just email me at jobatferrari@yahoo.com, er, not.
First impressions of Windows Vista
Yes, I know I’m a bit slow, but I am just not interested in Vista. I just happened to be at my other half’s place of work today, so I took a look at her new Vista powered PC. Only a few clicks, I have to admit.
First impressions? It’s like a souped up version of XP. Nothing more nothing less.
Occasionly I get to use an Apple, and it is much more impressive and it feels like a new operating system.
Unless MS comes up with something really original and ground-breaking, I suspect my next computer will be an Apple.
One day soon I expect Dell and the other big boys to start selling Macs as well as PCs. Unless, that is, MS gives us something really new and different.
