End of the day

It's good when you feel happy about a day's work, and I feel good. I managed to get to grips with the main aspects of what I'm working on - it's a one day course, but I'm not saying any more at the moment.

My personal brainstorming paid off and I resolved some issues, altered my overall approach and, generally moved things in what I believe to be a good direction. The course should meet it's objectives, although there are certain unknowns which will need to be converted into 'knows' to ensure a high level of success. But, I've done it before, more than once, so I know I can do it again.

Yes, I feel confident. I can be amazingly productive when I'm tucked away on my own with nothing to disturb or interrupt me. I shall sleep well tonight - and I'm keen to carry on tomorrow, although, seeing as it's the weekend and all that, I'll go at I nice and relaxed pace.

Working for yourself is tough at times, but, for someone like myself, it really is the only way to go. I love the freedom it gives you and the satisfaction.

Brainstorming

February 4, 2006 · Filed Under Work · Comment

Child and other half are down in Genova, leaving me to I mull over the details of a little project I'm working on. This includes a lot of the technique known as brainstorming - although the only brain which is going into overdrive (OK - is going to be stretched a wee bit) is my own.

I do a lot of thinking. Possibly too much, and maybe too little. And about things which are not directly important to my life. After the storm there is the creation of some kind of structure from the mental chaos of my many and diverse ideas.

At least I have peace and quiet to do this in, and a good selection of CD's to keep me going. I've got a 'Yes' album on at the mo.

OK, blog session over. Let the creative juices flow. Get those seeds to grow.
Sorry.
